The Breakfast at Eight Club was established in 1947 with the sole purpose of joining community business people together in an informal setting. Our members enjoy the continual networking with other Greater Kansas City Area business leaders, new business opportunities, and establishing long standing friendships.
We have met at a few locations over the years, and try to stay in the midtown area. Our home is at the Grand Street Café.
The club is limited to one member per classification, a person of good character, business, and social and community standing within the Greater Kansas City area.
Our membership includes a wide variety of service providers, professionals, distributors, and retail establishments.

“TREE-PETE” KRIVENA, filling in for PATRICK, told us not to worry about the trees if they bud early because of our Spring-like weather and then winter finally does arrive. Any frozen buds will just fall off and new ones will come on.

There wasn’t a scheduled speaker, so PATRICK decided to put out feelers for new members under some open classifications. If you think of someone that would make a good member of the club, invite them to come check us out yourself or pass along their contact information if you’d rather the invitation came from one of the officers.

Past president GREG PATTERSON told us that commercial real estate is slowly improving. He is opening a full service bar and entertainment venue at 3611 Broadway. It will be called the Uptown Arts Bar and the programming will feature prose and poetry readings, theater, dance, puppetry, mime, and music.
